We are proud to announce that Phibion have been chosen as the winners of the "Environmental Solutions” category at the Queensland Export Awards 2018. As finalist in two categories Phibion was competing with some of the best and brightest Queensland has to offer in the Environmental Solutions and Minerals, Energy and Related Services categories.
At a glittering presentation on the 11th October 2018 the Honourable Annastacia Palaszczuk MP, Premier of Queensland and Minister of Trade, presented the award to David and Annette Smirk, on behalf of Phibion.
Phibion provides world class dewatering technology to manage tailings and dredge spoils that are generated by mining, processing and port operations. Having developed this award winning technology in Australia, Phibion is expanding operations and exporting these services around the world. As all of our equipment is manufactured here in Brisbane this means greater research, investment, and employment here in Queensland.
David Smirk, Managing Director, made special mention of the Phibion team. “We have a fabulous team at Phibion. They produce and achieve the impossible. Thanks also go to the enduring support of all of our suppliers, all brilliant Queensland companies ... this is recognition for their efforts as much as ours".
As a category winner, Phibion is now entered into the Australian Export Awards to be held in Canberra on the 27th November 2018.
