Olá Brasil!

Updated: Jun 5, 2020

Brazil has huge reserves of iron-ore, gold, bauxite, nickel, manganese and niobium. With over 200 active mines and exports amounted to over USD 150 billion mining in Brazil is a globally significant industry. Within Brazil, Minas Gerais and the state of Pará account for 87% of this mining activity.

Recent catastrophic failures in associated tailings dams have highlighted the critical need for innovative and cost-effective technologies that can recover residual processing water from the tailings coupled with improvements in tailings density and strength. Remaining with conventional technology or trying to adopt cost-prohibitive technologies is not an option. Collectively, the mining industry, the regulators and the people of Brazil demand a new approach.

Phibion through its deployment of AMC technology can assist the mining industry reduce the size of tailings storage facilities coupled with improved water recovery, increased density and strength of tailings in storage.
